What should we eat and drink and why?
My opinion is that you should eat according to your needs. If you are a heavy physical worker, you need lots of carbo-hydrate and protein, and this is the same if you are a professional athlete. But, if you do office work, you may need lighter foods, such as a salad or a “vegi” meal. The most important thing is to consume loads of vitamins. They keep your immune system strong and make your body more resistant to illnesses. The best source of vitamins is eating fruit and vegetables, but you can also take vitamin pills to fuel your body. Besides vitamins, fruit and veggies also contain fibers, and those are very important for your digestion. To work well, your muscles need protein. You can find it in white meats, such as poultry or fish.
You can also buy dietary supplements which contain concentrated protein, body builders use it daily. Red meats, such as pork or beef are also vital/essential/indispensable/inevitable for the human body, because they give you lots of energy. Speaking of drinks, you should take in at least 2 liters of fluids a day. It can be water, fruit juice, milk or tea. The more you drink, the healthier you become. You need to rehydrate your cells and stay away from dehydration. A little chocolate is also beneficial, because it is said to give you happiness.
